| Faced with unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, governments in Europe and beyond will need to put strategies in place for reinvigorating their economies. At the EU level, circular economy is a key feature of the European Green Deal and is seen as a concept that offers potential for economic growth decoupled from resource use. What role can the circular economy play in the national recovery strategies? Which industries and value chains would be affected? And what actions should governments consider?
