INVITATION by The Ellen MacArthur Foundation
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is partnering with The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra – Rebooting the economy with circular solutions. Taking place on the 29th and 30th of September, the two-day virtual event will bring together a global community of business leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators, and thought-leaders to discuss how the circular economy can enhance resilience on a business and societal level.
Dame Ellen MacArthur will deliver the keynote speech, exploring the circular economy as a pathway to redefined growth and enhanced resilience.
The Foundation will host the Enabling the Circular Economy: The Role of Policy & Finance session, as well as co-host The journey to a circular economy in the Canada-US region. Representatives from Unilever Canada, US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, City of Philadelphia, Smart Property Institute, European Investment Bank, Chilean Ministry of Environment, OECD, and Inter IKEA Group will be part of the two discussion panels.
The sessions will be exploring key issues including:
〉What is the role of finance in the circular economy, the opportunities for private finance and key actions needed to capture the opportunity?
〉What do governments need to focus on now in order to scale the circular economy?
〉How will advancing a regional Canada/US circular economy be different from the experience in Europe and in other parts of the world?
Registration is still open to attend the two-day event series.
